Ray and his helper spent extra time lubricating the second smaller single-car garage door when he was only required to replace the springs on the larger 2-car garage door (which he also lubricated and adjusted at no additional charge). “I hired SunRay Overhead Doors on 1/5/26 after other garage door companies failed to make the necessary repairs. Ray did a professional assessment and didn’t try to up sell me. While other garage door companies tried to sell me a new garage door, Ray did not. He instead was honest and very educational explaining in detail what the problem was. I must admit I was skeptical from dealing with other unethical garage door contractors. When I witnessed him balancing the garage door tracks with lasers I knew he was different. The garage literally looked like a laser show, he was the real deal! Ray was very professional, competent and gave a written estimate guaranteeing his work. In addition the price estimate was very generous in relation to other contractor estimates. Lastly, the garage door works perfectly and yes I will certainly recommend this company. High quality execution of installing a new Garage Door and going beyond what was expected with craftsmanship in repairing damage done by an unexpected impact by an unknown vehicle that brought enough impact to render the old Garage Door inoperable. Ray came out to inspect the damage and told me what needed to be done and provided an estimate. A few days later he was back with a new Garage Door and installed along with fixing the damage that had been done. Wonderful attitude and he has a work ethic that is almost extinct in today's world! “Ray -- the proprietor of Sun-Ray -- has answered our calls here about twice over the last year or two. We have to remember that misbehaving garage doors can occur because spider webs are blocking the electric eye sensors for the garage door. I discovered this again just after Ray called to say he'd be here in a half hour. We took advantage of Ray's presence to also assure he gets paid for the visit. I had him lubricate the door, fix some loose bolts, and make sure it was in good operating condition before leaving. Our garage door is now quiet and smooth in its operation. Very glad I have Sun-Ray in my digital rolodex.”

I needed a new opener but have some install challenges in my garage. “I contacted three companies about my garage door opener which was making noises. The first asked for pictures, told me that it was too old to fix and it would cost between x and y to replace. They cancelled their appointment because the technician fell ill. The second was Sun Ray who also told me that the unit would not be able to be repaired, but gave me information on two units to consider for replacement (within a similar price range). The third came in and tried to see me a replacement for twice what the other two proposed. When I told him I had a possible purchase from someone else at half the price he magically could get the price lowered for me. I went with Sun Ray. Ray came both times after letting me know he was on his way. He was helpful and courteous, provided me with information on his proposed replacement(s) and answered questions that I came up with. On installation day he arrived as announced, completed the work in the time he said it would take, and did an excellent job at a reasonable price. He then made sure I was comfortable with how everything worked and provided me with a receipt. I am so happy I hired him and would highly recommend his services.”
